My surgeries went a-okay. Here's me as soon as I got home. See how weird I look? Mom says that's 'cause of the anesthesia. I don't like anesthesia muchos.

We're still waiting for the pathology results on the bumpy thing they removed so paws crossed those results are normal.

I was sooooooo out of it the past few days...like super ultra mega out of it. I ONLY wanted to snuggle and sleep on the couch OR go outside and leave eight million peemails all over the front yard!

Like I said though, I'm all better now. I went back to the doctor and got my bandage changed this morning and then I'll go back on Wednesday for one more change and theeen a few days later I'll get to have these stupid itchy stitches taken out!!!!!

So to celebrate me being all un-anesthesia'd, I took Mom shopping for Black Friday. Look at all the goodies we got!!!! Hehehe.

Soooo...I haven't bloggied for a long time but I need some help.

See, I have a weird cyst bump thing on my front paw that is driving me CRAZY!!! So I'm gonna have surgeries on the 23rd to remove it and then they're gonna cleans my teeth and take some x-rayz of my knees and hips.

My mama is SUPER worried about my surgeries. She thinks I'll chew out my stitches. And while she's already checked that the vet lady won't be using Ace (Acepromazine) on me, she's still realllllllly worried. So this is where I need the helps.

What can I do to make my mama realize I'm a big girl and a tuff cookie and I'll be just fine? What did you do to your hoomans before you had surgeries to make them calm down? Oh and what treats taste extra yummiez after surgeries? Hm, hm?

My inquiring Gucci girl mind wants to know.

The weather here is supersuper nice again. Sooooo super nice that I didn't want Mom to miss out on any of it so I woke her up at 6:30am!! Itsok, I let her take a nap after breakfasts. After the nap we went for some loooooooooong walkies action and guess what?!? OMD! The baseball field wasn't being used so I got to run around the entiiiiiiiiire field. Only for five minutes though, but I think that was more than enough time. Here's proof hehe...
The reason I only got to run around for five minutes was because if I ran around for any longer I was gonna be late for my appointment at the Fur Factory! Yup, your girl Gucci has a groomer now because I don't like Mom giving me manicures. She should give me treats, not manicures! While I was getting my spaw treatments Mom went and hungout with my bro Bernie! I'm sure he missed me.

Sooo now I'm a pretty perfumed pupster. Seriously I smelll soooooooooooooooooo good. I bet my Chefster can smell me all the way in Canada...that's how strong and yummiez this perfume is. Momma is loving it and the squirrels are staying away, as they should!!

So we came home and I deemed it naptime. I don't know why Mom put this stupid green blanket on the couch. Um. There's no pillow on that spot. Silly hooman. Would she lay where there was no pillow? Doubt it!

1.) The l'il hooman boy who called me a cow's dog is super nice. He tells me all the latest gossip. I'll try to get a picture of him one of these days. No worries though, he is no where near as handsome as my Cheffie Weffie!

2.) Apparently I look good for my age. Three people the past two days have said "aww...is she a puppy??!?". Mom said next time she's just gonna go along with it.

3.) It's finally getting kinda warm here which means I get super extra awesome long walks!! This morning I got a 45 minute one! I told Mom that I wanted to pretend like I was on top model so she took some pictures for my portfolio.

I was kinda camera shy at first.

Then I made my best pouty puppy face.

So I'm totally loving my new apartment. There are tons of paths and trails and lakes and things here. I've met lots of reallllllly cute l'il kiddo hoomans. Like this morning, I was walkin' with Mom and a family was walking their dog. The l'il boy hooman was so cute so I decided not to try boxing their lab.

The l'il boy is petting me and petting me and petting me.
Then kiddo says, "HEHEHE SHE LOOKS LIKE A COW!"
The Dad asks, "What did you say buddy?"
The kiddo says, "I saaaaaaid she looks like a cow."

Then I boxed the lab for a few seconds and we kept on walking.

SERIOUSLY?? ME? A COW??????

I know I'm on a diet 'n all but I've lost a lot of weight running up and down the THREE FLIGHTS of stairs and getting half as much food as I used to [rescue/vets orders- not Mom's idea].

Really though...I don't look like a cow...do I??

Here are some updates in Gucci's World-
-I had a fantastic Christmas with my l'il bro Bernie and our pawrents and their pawrents and our uncle Pete
-I looooooooooove my Mom's Mom and Dad...Mom's Dad has been giving me lots more pets lately and I love it!!
-I brought in 2009 with rawhides and gave my Mom a kiss at midnight
-My Mom's hockey team is soooo good (MVP! MVP!!) and I've been supporting them tons! So much for hating hockey hehe.

-The USPS messed up my Mom's stamps order so our cards are just being mailed out this week but you will get them soon, pawromise!

I am sorry that my hockey team beat [read: shutout] your hockey team.

Really though...I didn't watch the game, I watched for my Mom to come home.

If it is any consolation, not only did we lose by the same score to Columbus last night but my football team just lost to Mitch and Maggie's football team.
It was a tough one to watch, but I watched nonetheless.

I don't know if you pups know but my Mom is an Irish dancer. She has crazy sparkley dresses and competes for trophies. I looove when she practices because she keeps her arms down and it's the perfect time for your girl Gucci to sneak up on her for a l'il boxing action. I boxed her during all of her dances yesterday except for one...

Ohhh andddd...Mom got me new treats!! She also got me this Kong thing that I can only have in my crate but it's so so so fun that I don't mind. I actually sat in my crate working on getting the treatie unstuck for no reason yesterday. Here's proof-

Mom was looking for pictures of boxers named Gucci on google today to see if she could find puppy pictures of me. Well, she didn't find any puppy pictures, but Uncle Erik did find this...

There's an entry from December 2006 saying I was three then, so that means I'm five now.

Mom's sad because she thinks that means she has two less years with me. Stupid woman doesn't realize I'm immortal...does she really think she could live her life without me? I know she couldn't possibly do that...when I wake her up at 4:30am on Saturdays I know she's super happy and craving Gucci kisses. That's why I pounce on her a million times. I wouldn't do it if she didn't enjoy it so much!!

So Mom e-mailed that rescue asking if they had any information stored about me somewhere so we'll just hafta wait and see about that...I don't remember much about that place other than it's a few states away from where I am now.

So much for liking hockey.

Despite my previous posts about hating hockey, I may be changing my bark. Mostly because Mom got me a stuffie version of Slapshot. I only get Slapshot during road games or when Mom comes home from a game. He's a handsome 'n snuggly l'il fella and I LOVE HIM!

Look at my empty bed in the corner. I haven't slept there in weeks! Snuggling with Mom and kicking her if I dream of chasing squirrellies is more fun.
It looks like I'm sleeping, but I'm really not. Gotta keep an eye out for anyone putting "the biscuit in the basket."
Tonight Mommy's Capitals played in Anaheim. Actually they're still playing and that means I get to stay up past my bedtime!! YAY FOR TIMEZONES!!! Also, YAY FOR MOM GICING ME A TREAT EVERYTIME THE CAPS SCORE (so far we've got six goals...9:54 left in the third). Hehehe.

Yup. Vanilla Milkshake. There's a man who comes to our door with 'em on occasion. Usually he brings a pizza too. I wish I had a milkshake man of my own. My Mom is being very Lisa the Mean-esque and not sharing. Not even after I've been cheering on her team. Hrmpfh.

Also, BERNIE SAYS I AM BEING LAZY WITH MY BLOG. Silly boxerboy has NO IDEA how much energy it takes to be as pretty and as cute as I am on a daily basis. Sometimes I am so exhausted there's just no energy left for your girl Gucci to post on her bloggy. SO TAKE THAT BERNSTER!

I forgot to mention before that l'il bro Bernie was at the meetup too, but he was too busy getting hugs from strangers to hangout with me. Anyways, so far there's only been one meet up picture posted that I can use as evidence, but it's a pretty good one. Here's a bunch of pups playing.

There was an indoor boxer meetup today. We got there and I started running around and having fun. Then some annoying people with insecure dogs showed up and another boxergirl and I tried to box with them a bunch 'o times and theeen this stupid spazzz puppy showed up and she was really annoying [mom said her mom was five billion times as annoying as the puppy] and I tried to 'play' with her and then I would up in timeout.

Now I am going to take a nap because I kept my tail wagging the entire time I was in timeout and I'm super exhausted. I will provide photo evidence of how mean my mom was and my timeout action after my siesta!!

I woke Mom up at 6:00 am for walkies and my breakfast. Then we went back to sleep. Then I woke her up at 8:48 am for more walkies and her breakfast. Then we sat outside on the balcony and I tried to talk to her but silly woman didn't understand what I was saying.

Maybe you can understand? It takes a l'il while before I start talking but I look cute in the video so I'm sure you won't mind waiting for it!

Today I had some playtime with my l'il bro Bernie. It's funny because I'm his big sis but he's bigger than me and his Dad [Uncle Erik] is Mom's l'il brother and Erik is bigger than his big sis too!

Mom drove us over there in her new 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan. It has a turbo engine that Mom likes but doesn't really showoff when I'm in the car, which is good because usually I sleep in the car. Not today though.
That's not a funny shaped headrest, it's your girl Gucci being a backseat driver!

So Bernie and I had lotsa fun in the backyard. It's not fenced but Bernie is good off leash and I had my 25' retractable so we were good to go! We had fun doing boxer bullets [aka zoomies] and play biting and having a high jump contest to see who could grab the frisbee from the hoomans' hands. Next time we'll get a video of it!

Soooo...remember how I gave a paward to the new boxerboy blogger on the block, Rocky? WELL it turns out that Rocky's blog was fake and that MY VERY OWN UNCLE ERIK didn't want Mom and I to think he had rescued a pupster so he made a blog.

STORYTIME!!!

Friday night I was hanging out with Mom and Uncle Erik came over and was like, "Bring Gucci upstairs I have something in my car I don't want her to see!" Mom was super confused so her and I just sat in the front window and GUESS WHO JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR??!?

He is lazy just like me!

And he has l'il friends just like me!!

He's a British bred boxerboy who was rescued after his hooman went AWOL from the Army. He's brindled and has cute socks and is all flashy 'n stuff. He's three like me and his birthday is eight days after mine. I'M HIS BIG SIS!! I don't like sharing my hoomans and their houses with him but we had lotsa fun playing together and going on walks together, see for yourself!!

Also we took him to the vet [different from mine] and the crazy vet tech thought I only weighed 40 LBS!!! Pffft c'mon lady, I'm a svelte 63.0! Bernie's a lean 70lbs. He needs to put on some weight. He's soo skinny!!

Hockey has started and GMU released their basketball schedule and Mom's working tons and totally hogging her lappytop so that means no time for your girl Gucci to blog it up!!

I owe all you blog packers a post with all my birthday stuffs [I did get your card Gaia!]. Super ultra mega pawesome thanks to all the pups and hammies who came to my birthday pawty! We had a lot of fun and my Chefster and I spent some alone time together which was really cute and fun. He is oh so charming...to say the least hehe.

Anyways, I HAD to blog tonight because Mom took me to the dog park late tonight. Here I am drinking by street light!
On our way back home we ran into Duke and his Mommy. Duke's a boxerboy puppy who just got noootoured a couple weeks ago. He's cute but definitely no Chef! Anyways, my Mom was asking his Mom if she knew of a dog walker...uhhh...Mom...that's kinda like your title. Dog walker, dog play-with-er, dog feeder, dog snuggler, dog treatie-giver...you gots a lot of titles actually. Stupid Duke's Mom gave my Mom the phone number of a guy named Nate. I didn't like this idea...then I heard about how Nate takes Duke on twenty minute walks outside and then spends ten minutes inside hanging out and giving him pets and snackies. Hm. This Nate guy might not be so bad afterall...I sure would miss Mommy's afternoons walkies though.

Speaking of walkies...I snuck onto Mom's paypal account. Apparently she's been on an etsy shopping spree!! She ordered me a fleece, a winter coat and she had this made...

It's a leash rack that looks just like me!! The artist/crafty lady Amy even got my flashy nose stripe on the painting! See...

She does custom leash racks soOo if you can steal a plastic gold card from the hoomans check our her shoppe!

Once my coats arrive I'll do a fashion show! I also have some videos from my walk in the woods this weekend to post! Someday Mom will stop working and I'll stop napping long enough to post for you pups.

Theeen I ate a hearty Blue Buffalo breakfast. Mom's about to give me a mani-pedi so I'll be pretty for when my Cheffie gets here tonight. Look what that charming devil got me for my birthday...

Mom cheated on me yesterday.

Mom went to the boxer rescue again yesterday. Dianne, the lady who runs it had double knee surgery [she didn't want to have surgery twice] soo she needs lotsa help. I only found two pictures on her camera phone thing this time.

Here's Sonny & Cher, I posted about them before...

This is Vox! He's not for adoption, if he was Mom said I'd have a new brother. One of Dianne's own boxers, Axel, is really sick with cancer and the chemo isn't helping much. A local breeder heard about Axel and gave Dianne and her husband the choice of any of the boxerboys in their most recent litter, and she wound up with this charming devil of a pup!!
She only took pictures of these three boxerkids, but I sniffed about nine different doggies on her. Next time Mom pleeeeeeease take me!!

Yesterday I went for a run with Mom and

went to the dog park TWICE!!! I was worn out!

Here I am working on my bbq telekinesis.

While on the balcony I saw a squirrel and was not
happy about it. Apparently the bbqing somedoggie

This morning I was busy resting up for the 'Skins game.

Well, Mom went to Costco tonight and came home with a new bed for me!! It's a bright lime green with dark brown trim and will totally match my Mom's room. I was already super tired from my walkies with Uncle Erik so I wasted no time breaking it in!!

Back to the beds, here's what I've got so far...

First, my Crate bed...it's one of those cheap foamy orthopedic deals. Mom's gonna get new foam for it soon though! Second, my living room bed...it's between our sofas at a prime tv-viewing angle since I'm not allowed on the sofas (Miss Ashley's rules, not Mom's). Third, my window seat bed...it's in Mom's room but I usually just use her bed instead. I guess that's why she wants to get me a new bed. I'm okay with that, training me to use my own bed means lotsa treaties!

Do you have any super comfy, [preferably] rectangular, durable, large dog bed suggestions for me?

I'm starting a new feature on my blog because Mom and I love shopping and we [read: she] can't run errands without coming home with something for me! I'm spoiled, what else is new? Anywayssss back to the new feature...PRODUCT DAY! We tried to figure out a cute way to say "Tuesday is Review Day" buuut there are no synonyms for "review" that start with a "t". Oh well. So, here we go!

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Freshening Spray

Mom picked this up at World Market, US$5.99 for 8oz.

It's a Clary Sage and Chamomile based spray that you spritz on your pet's bed/blanket/etc. It's a really nice, calming spray. I like how it smells much better than Nature's Miracle [which is what we used to use to keep my crate fresh] and while it doesn't have the same enzyme component as NM, it's all natural, YAY!!! Mom said this stuff is mostly chamomile scented which is nice coz it makes us sleepy and then we have an excuse to nap! You can checkout ingredient list and other products on Mrs. Meyer's website.

We rate it four out of five sleepin' Guccis.

Alsooo, it hasn't stopped raining since after my morning walk. Mom's taken me out in the rain twice but I just can't 'get busy' with all the crazy rain. In other news, I was sneaky today. I didn't cry when Mom left for work coz I was a boxergirl on a mission! I snuck downstairs while Mom's Mom was getting ready for work and I took my ziploc of treats off the top of the keepsake trunk and shredded the plastic until I got out a big taquito treatie!! Mom's Mom and Uncle Erik didn't yell at me coz they thought Mom gave it to me before she left hehehe. Well, SURPRISE SURPRISE Mom came home from lunch and gave me a new toy [more on that in another post] and my first martingale collar. It's boring and black but Mom's gonna use that on walks now instead of just the chain. ANDDDD she got a 26' retractable lead so that I can run without running away and we can work on recall...that means more treaties! But yeahhh so Mom came home and gave me the toy thinking I was being good buuut then she saw the taquito treat and asked everyone if they had given me a treat and they all said no and then she went and found the shredded treat bag and then I got in troubleeee...but I already had the new toy!!

Hehehehe...I'm so sneaky it's pawesome!

Alsooo it's my Mom's barkday Sunday...so I think I'mma be busy giving her extra kisses!!!!

I got to ride in the car!! Thursday I went to the vet and got to play with another boxergirl and eat a l'il peanutbutta and get my allergies sorted out. I'm on new meds and they're working really well.

Then I got to go to Mom's Mom and Dad's house because it's like two minutes from the vet. I made a new NOMS friend...he's a penguin!!

Penguin was pretty easy to tackle...kinda boringggg.

He was so boring I was bored to sleep!!

Then I woke up and stole this l'il stuffie from Uncle Erik's room.

Then it was time to roach whilst getting a belly rub from Erik! Look at my new stuffie doing a headstand!! He's got skillz.Later I got to try some Blue Moon! It was tasty.

...then I passed out, but my shoes weren't on so I wasn't technically "passed out"...just asleep hehehe.

Hey Chefster 'o mine, I didn't follow your advice about getting foodstuffs, but I use my own tactic (sitting between Mom's Dad and the television and then Mom's Mom calls me over and then I just act cute around her and KABLAM...steak winds up in my food bowl).

I didn't get to go to the rescue, but I did manage to distract Mom and make her forget her camera before she left hehehe. HOWEVER, I forgot about her camera phone thing.

(Gucci's Mom here, these two were saved from a kill shelter in Southern Virginia, named Sonny & Cher, they are such a cute pair and are kept in the same crate because they are desperately attached to eachother. They snuggled up together in the crate and it was cuteness to die for! It's also crazy that there's no food agression between the two of them, especially since they are each atleast 20lbs underweight.)

Mom said these were the only two pictures she took there because I'm much prettier than any of the other boxers and she said she didn't play with any of 'em or give any treaties out.

mmMhmm! I sniffed her like crazy and knew she was lying. I smelled a 5.5 month old flashy brindle boxerboy named Vox, a young fawn pup named Mollie, a chillax fawn named Houdini (Mom says he escapes for any crate you put him in), a crazyyy boxerboy named Chance who barks and barks and barks. Oh oh and I smelled a sweetheart brindle named Belle...Mom and Uncle Erik said she reminded her of me...NO WAAAAY MOM I'M THE BEST BRINDLE BOXERGIRL!!!

Oh well. Mom said she might take me to the petstore today. I've been telling her I need to do some shopping for my boyfriend.

The lady that runs the boxer rescue Mom found me at is having double knee surgery soon! Mom talked to her and so tomorrow Mom and Uncle Erik are going over to help take care of the pups and stuffs and I DON'T GET TO GO!!! Mom said I would be a distraction and that I might get jealous of her spending so much time working with other dogs. YA THINK??!?

So instead I get to sit at home and wait and wait and wait and then sniff her like crazy and then look at all the pictures on her cammie and be jealous.

Sooooooooooooo HEY MOM!!!! I'm gonna be jealous no matta what so you should probably just take me...'specially since I heard about Dianne's new puppy! Hehehe Dianne is the lady who runs the rescue and one of her own boxers, Axle, is really sick (cancer) and his body isn't liking the treatments at all and one of Dianne's breeder friends gave her a boxer puppy. His name is Vox and he is 5.5 mos old and a sweetheart and I want to meet him!!!@#!

Sooo today I went to my second boxer meetup!! This time it was indoors, which was pawesomely nice. Mom tried to get pictures of me playing but that didn't work out too well, checkout her lack of photog skillz...

She says she got some videos and will be posting those later. I just hope she's a better videographer person.

After the meetup we went back to Mom's Mom and Dad's house where I had lotsa fun sneaking around looking for snacks. I even put on an apron to try and practice my cooking for Mr. Chef hehehe. I think I need a smaller size apron though.

I was so exhausted I just flopped down and didn't wanna move.

So, I was sleeping peacefully on MY bed...
...and then Mom as all, "hey Guch, let's go for a walk!!!" Soooo I obliged and went for a walk and then we sat out on the balcony and I was super super stealth [see piccy].
...and theeeen Mom was like, "heyyy Guch, get off my side of the bed!!!" Soooo I obliged [yes Maverick, that is a pirate teddybear hehehe]...

So I had a super good long walk and after lounging around for a l'il Mom decided it was dinnertime!! YAAY!!!

First I gots to explain, Mom feeds me in the crate because she thinks that'll make me like it more [pffft yaaah rite Mom] and the crate is on the other side of the room from the water [see photo below, I am modeling how I drink water].

Sooo I was eating and then I went to get a drink and when I went back to get some more foodstuffs who did I find in my crate??? L'il Zoe!!! I barked at him and then he went all kinds of super crazyyy and so I was like, "Yo dude you tryin' to box?? I'm undefeated yakno!!? It's TKO time babeh!" and then Momma snatched him up and he scratched her arm really bad and then Zoe got yelled at by HIS Mom and I got scolded too and now I'm not even hungry.

Sighhhhhhhhhh.

Poor Momma's arm [oh and she says that the reason her bed isn't made is because I always jump on it and roll around on the covers and so there's no point to trying anymore...uhhhh EXCUSES!!!].

Poor squirrel who got stepped all over during our l'il rumble.

Just got home from the vet!

I have been spayed already and I lost 2lbs!!

Mom says that means she doesn't get in trouble for giving me treats!
She also said that doesn't mean I get more treats. :[

They did a pee test to make sure I'm not on any banned substances before the paw-limpics. I totally passed that with flyinggggggg colors. They also said I have no infections and that my Mommy is "doing a great job" with me!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! To celebrate I'm gonna go box with Uncle Erik and then take a nappy with my squirrel.

Tomorrow I'm getting my manicure at the vet. I don't mind going there, riding in the car is so cool and everyone at the vet is so nice and I might get to see some of my rescue boxer buddies!!! I'm also getting checked out to see if I was spayed because Mommy is worried I may not actually be spayed and may be in heat?? ...I thought being hot was a good thing. Guess not. :\

Also, it's storming like crazy here. My home is around where it says "Alexandria" just a l'il south of Washington.

After talking to some boxer parents from the meetup group my Mommy is in the process of switching me from Iams Naturals to BLUE BUFFALO!! We're hoping it helps with my allergies and makes my coat nice 'n soft 'n snuggley.

Who knew 1.) Buffalos were blue; and 2.) they taste so darn good!!!

Only bad news: I'm not gonna get as much food now. :(
